Germany Crushes Brazil 7-1 in Historic World Cup Semi-Final

Miroslav Klose Breaks All-Time Scoring Record

A Night of Humiliation and Devastation for the Hosts

In an astonishing display of dominance, Germany annihilated hosts Brazil 7-1 in the semi-finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The victory propelled Miroslav Klose to the top of the all-time World Cup scoring charts, while leaving the Brazilian nation in shock and despair.

The match began as a nightmare for Brazil. Thomas Müller opened the scoring in the 11th minute, and just four minutes later, Miroslav Klose netted his 16th World Cup goal, surpassing Ronaldo's previous record. Toni Kroos extended the lead in the 24th minute, and at the break, Germany held a commanding 3-0 advantage.

The second half was even more embarrassing for Brazil. Sami Khedira scored in the 29th minute, and in the 69th minute, André Schürrle netted a stunning brace within seven minutes to complete the humiliation. Oscar pulled one back for Brazil in the 90th minute, but it was a mere consolation.

The defeat was Brazil's heaviest ever in a competitive home match and ended their dream of a sixth World Cup title on home soil. Germany, meanwhile, booked their place in the final and will face either Argentina or the Netherlands on July 13.
